  • 2¼ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup firmly packed, dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 12 oz chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup toasted pecans, chopped
  1. Preheat oven to 375°
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside. In a separate bowl, combine butter, sugars, and vanilla, beating until creamy. Blend in eggs. Gradually add the flour mixture, stirring well. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, and bake for approximately 8 minutes (until edges start to brown).
