Here’s the other method that I use to make candied nuts.
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1½ cup nuts
- Melt the sugar over med-hi heat in a heavy pot, stirring constantly. As the sugar starts to melt, it will crystalize first before turning completely liquid.
- Continue stirring until completely melted, and remove from heat as soon as sugar begins to brown. Stir in nuts, and toss until completely coated.
- Spread on an oiled plate & allow to cool completely before breaking apart.
